Think of AIM but modernized. Chat, call, have virtual hang outs in real time- the works. A circle is a dedicated place for you to be connected to a community of people who share the same interest as you. And because we are not one dimensional beings, you can be a part of or create as many circles as you want. Interested in knitting? Join a knitting circle. Interested in strength training? join a workout circle, again, the list can go on. Circles were created as a place to always come back to your community. When there isn't something "to do" your circle is always there. I wanted a space where I could go be with my book nerd friends, and also maybe pop into other circles and find new interests and friends. A way to be connected instead of just observing.

Think of a table like an event, wanna host a book club or run? Create a table, want to host a dinner party or have people attend something you’re hosting? Create a table. I could go on, but you get the idea. When I first came up with Community Table, I literally dreamed of opening an app and being able to open a “table” at my favorite restaurant and leave open seats for anyone who felt our interest aligned to join.
Personalize Your Profile
One of the most important things to me is safety. Community Table members can not be anonymous. We know vulnerability is scary but it’s also what creates connection and community. I want every person on this app to feel like they belong and to know that the people they are connecting with are real human beings just like them who want to get back to what it means to be humans- who just want to enjoy life. So on your profile, you can tell others a bit about yourself, you can link your other socials if you want, and also showcase the tables you’re going to or hosting and what circles you are a part of.

Community Table was born from my desire to be connected to a community but not just one community…
It started with me wanting to have an app where I could pick a restaurant and “open a table”, say I have open seats and have people who shared the same interest come and hang out
It’s evolved but the message remains the same, its about connection. Community Table gives us the space to explore things to do, and cultivate meaningful connections, It may not be just about opening a table at a restaurant anymore but I hope every member of this app always knows there is a seat at my table for them.
